In the urban fabric of Dordrecht is where the owners of Sumac alight to execute their ambition, an ambition deeply rooted in the Mediterranean culture as symbol of sharing and unity. Food!Sumac, originated from a plant that mainly grow in a specific rural area of turkey. It is a special plant that grows in three different stages until the farmers crash it into herbs. Sumac Mediterranean Streetfood is the first of three food concepts that will define Sumac.
Sumac Mediterranean Streetfood is however the seed that need to by planted in order to grow. We used this idea of a seed as a concept for their first site in downtown Dordrecht. A seed, in it’s appearance quit plain and simply, but in it’s DNA rather complex and divers. The DNA of this first Sumac concept was their Food, the world needed to taste this mix of Mediterranean flavors and urban fast food. So, we create the garden of sumac where we merge all the different colors and materials in the kitchen and leaving the rest of the space as an open garden where the clients will enjoy the flavors of Sumac Mediterranean Streetfood.

Comida!Sumac, originou de uma planta que cresça principalmente em uma área rural específica do peru. É uma planta especial que cresce em três estágios diferentes até que os fazendeiros o colidem nas ervas. Sumac Mediterrâneo Streetfood é o primeiro de três conceitos de alimentos que irá definir Sumac.
Sumac Mediterrâneo Streetfood é, no entanto, a semente que precisa de plantadas, a fim de crescer. Usámos esta ideia de uma semente como um conceito para o seu primeiro local no centro de Dordrecht. Uma semente, em sua aparência saia clara e simplesmente, mas em seu DNA é bastante complexo e mergulhadores. O DNA deste primeiro conceito Sumac foi o seu alimento, o mundo necessário para provar esta mistura de sabores mediterrânicos e fast food urbano. Assim, criamos o jardim de sumac onde nós combinamos todas as cores diferentes e materiais na cozinha e deixando o resto do espaço como um jardim aberto onde os clientes apreciarão os sabores de Sumac Mediterranean Streetfood.
